I agree the use of one-use bags affects the environment, I hereby pledge to refrain from the use of these bags and use a reuseable tote bag here on forward. Good Work!
I agree to stop using one use bags from here on!! I’m gathering reusable bags. Thank you!
I would love to have one of your reusable bags. I don’t like the ones you get from grocery stores, they aren’t strong at all.
I will use your bag every time I shop, and it will be put to good use.
I am overwhelmed with and frightened by the plastic bag monster hiding under my kitchen sink! Help me stop feeding it!
I pledge to do all I can to see that the Plastic Bag Monster
ceases to exist
i pledge to never use plastic again..
I pledge to start putting all of my reusable totes in my car so everytime I go to the store I will not have to use the plastic baggies. I would like to do something to help preserve the earth for my grandchildren! Who’s coming with me?
- M. House
I pledge to stop using one time use bags and instead use reusable totes.
To make it an even sweeter deal I try to go to those stores that actually PAY you to use reusable bags. Target gives you 5 cent per reusable shopping bag..be sure to mention it to them because a few times they forget at the end of my checking out..but not only am I being better to our planet I am also getting PAID to do so! It may seem like a small 5 cents pennies to some but to me it ADDS UP to big savings a year!!!
Thank you!!!
- Neslers
I pledge to use the reuseable bag at all time and do away with plastic.
I PLEAGE NOT TO USR PLASTIC BAGS
I am going to put my re-usable bags in the trunk of my car so that I can uphold my pledge to stop using plastic bags!
It’s about time we do something about this plastic overload. It has been bothering me for a long time. Europe is way ahead of the game. So why can’t we??? I’m all for it!!!
Plastic bags will be on the earth for hundreds of years…they use petroleum…they are a scourge. I pledge to always use reusable bags.
As someone told me..if I don’t have my reusable bags, I have to carry it(the items) in my hands.
- M.M.
I sincerely pledge to use re-usable bags when ever I can. I currently have several that I keep in the trunk of my car. When a bag is not assessable while shopping, I pledge to use a cardboard box from the store and recycle it when I am done using it. I am also trying to educate my teenage son on these facts as well, but that is yet another task that will require constant monitoring.
-R.B.
I pledge to use only reusable bags from this point forward! I hate plastic bags!

As a traveler, it really hurts to see plastic bags make their way into beautiful places like deserts and jungles. Its disappointing to see them anywhere. I pledge to stop using plastic bags knowing that once they exist they are too difficult rid them from the environment. They cause damage to both land and sea. Thanks for encouraging people to act responsibly.
-D.W.
I work in a store and it is so much easier to bag merchandise in the reusable bags. I pledge to use the reusable bags myself and try to get my customers to use them also.
Those one time use plastic bags are taking over my closet. I pledge to use the reusable bags to help control the waste in my house and environment.
A great way to make your own multi use bags is to take those one use bags and fuse them together using your clothes iron and two sheets of wax paper. Make sure to turn the bags inside out if there is ink on them, place them between two sheets of wax paper and iron until the bags melt together into sheets. Then, all you have to do is sew those sheets together on your sewing macine to make reusable bags! You can get very creative using different colored bags. I saw a blog where some guy made a black and white waterproof hoodie out of old trash bags. Amazing!!
I hate those plastic bags, I promise to use the reusable bags.
I pledge to use only reusable bags and no plastics for the sake of the environment!
In Peace and Love,
- D. Mohr
I pledge to keep my reuseable bags on my front passenger seat so I won’t forget them since I am committed to not using plastic. If I go to the store and forget them I will go back and get them before I purchase anything. Let’s be kind to the environment-it is the only one we have!

I hereby pledge that I will never again use one use carrier bags and if you send me a free reusable bag I can add it to the couple I have already and then I will be able to get more shopping, cutting down on the fuel I use to make various trips to the shops.

I will no longer use one use bags.
I stopped using plastic bags awhile ago. But if got one because I forgot my own, I would use them to pick up dog poop. Now I use brown paper lunch sacks you can get in any dollar store.
I live in Denver and am pleased to see grocery stores put a large container at the front door for recycled plastic bags. (Its not perfect but something). I pledge to proudly show off my reusable bags and help make plastic bags become jealous of the stronger and safer tote bags!

I am trying hard to stop using one-use bags, but I often find myself in situations where I do not have a tote bag with me. I would like to accumulate enough so that I can always have one at hand, no matter where I am. I would love to have one of yours if there are any still available and promise to use it!
- S. Bussell
One use bags have been banned in a few communities in my area for all businesses and other businesses such as grocery stores have moved to tote bags and charging a fee for brown paper bags, should you forget your tote. I find it interesting that paper grocery bags were originally introduced a century ago to encourage customers to buy more… if the store packaged your goods for you, you didn’t have to bring a “big” basket to carry it in… the thoughts on the part of the businessman were along the lines of “if we provide them with the means to carry it home they will buy more!”…
Yes indeed a tote bag would be marvelous!
Thank You
Sylvia.
I promise to stop wasting plastic and paper by using one-use bags! Its a waste! A complete waste!
I promise to stop polluting our environment with plastic and paper. I rather live in a beautiful nation
I am a checker at a local grocery market. I have noticed such a huge change for the better when it comes to this matter. Women and men alike are becoming more aware of the this issue, but there are still a lot of people who want double plastic or even worse double paper! So my pledge is to try and make these people aware of the benefits of reusable bags. In my line of work I have an opportunity to make a difference.
I pledge to do all I can to see that my plastic bag use
ceases to exist, and that my collection, and therefore use of, reusable bags grows and increases

The hardest part is to pledge to start putting all of my reusable totes in my car (and not use them for totes)so everytime I go to the store I will not have to use the plastic baggies. The site of them in tall trees bothers me because how will they ever get down. I guess I just need more REUSABLE totes

I pledge to stop using plastic bags when shopping; to only use reusable bags from here on out.
I hate seeing one use bags anywhere, I love the idea of having a strong tote you can take everywhere-keep it in the glove box!
I am making my pledge to stop using one-use bags. I am so tired of seeing them on the roads and highways, blowing around, getting caught-up under the car. And don’t get me started on the fact that they will never breakdown and go away or about the poor animals who have become trapped in these bags an end up dying. What horrible pictures I have seen.
Thank you for doing something positive that people will respond to. These cities and towns who want to charge for plastic bag use think it will curtail the problem, they’re wrong. People will pay the 3-5 cents, even 10 cents, rather than be inconvenienced.
i recycle as much of everything we can. we reuse deli containers, don’t buy juice in jugs(we add water to packaged drink mixes)we use water from the tap,use re-usable bags and have more items in curbside recycling than any neighbors. we promise to keep using re-usable bags.
I do recycle and I am glad to say that I also teach my children the importance of recycling. I have not used plastic bags in a very long time now I use fabric bags and I make my own as well. I show my kids taht littering is also wrong because people don’t realize how dirty it makes our streets seem when they throw their trash on the ground as if it were going to disappear. We recycle everything we have and as an arts and crafts person there is always a use for the many things we buy and are done using for example my coffe containers I use to store miscellaneous item in order to control the clutter. I was once told of an idea which my kids enjoy when it comes to bottle caps of all sizes if you ahve a permanent marker number them and it works as a great math center for the children because they can use them to count whether it’s addition, subtraction, ractions, multiplication or division.
I pledge to end the using of plastic single use bags – and want to thank you for helping make it easier to do this by giving away the reuseable bags.
Blessings-
June
