Do men really want to date a successful woman?

I’ve heard too many successful woman complain about how hard it is to find a good man. Why is this? Are men intimated by successful women or are successful women too demanding of their male partners?

“Strong, aggressive, ambitious people intimidate weak, passive, lackadaisical people regardless of sex. And, strong, aggressive people often have high expectations of their partner. It’s the gap in intelligence—not gender—that causes the intimidation,” says Candace, a restaurant owner in Pasadena.

“The intimidated male might not be intimidated by the woman. He is probably intimated by the power, ambition and aggressiveness, and his reaction may cause a woman to interpret his behavior as him being intimated by a successful woman,” says Logan, a nutritionist in Los Angeles.
