My orange seed sprouted…
It became a little tree. But it is 7 years later and my healthy little orange tree still won’t produce any fruit.

Did you know that if you plant a seed from a store bought non-organic fruit or vegetable, it will probably produce a sterile plant or tree? Yes sir ree! Most store bought fruits and vegetables have been genetically altered. Our genetically altered fruits and veggies are usually sterile, disease resistant, and beautiful (have you ever noticed that homegrown apples are not as round and shinny as the store bought apples). To make matters worst, we have been brainwashed into thinking that the sterile navel orange or the beautiful, shiny apple is really worth the $1.99 per pound we are asked to pay for them.
If you have visions of growing orange trees from your store bought navel orange, think again. Buy heirloom, non-gmo organic fruits and veggies and you’ll be able to grow all the plants and trees your heart desires. I know, non-gmo organic fruits and veggies are expensive, but they taste so much better and they won’t fill you up with unwanted pesticides…better yet, start a garden and grow your own. Gardening can keep the little ones busy during spring and summer vacations.
