Feet. Have you thanked your feet today?

footmassageFeet are two of the body’s most neglected and underrated parts. We stand on them all day, squish them into tiny, yet beautiful and expensive shoes, and rely on them to navigate us through the trows of traffic (either by walking, or the unsteady patter of “on the gas, off the gas, step on the break” freeway driving).

In some cultures and medical practices, feet are a window to your health. Carefully crafted foot maps are used to pinpoint and treat other bodily ailments.

Our feet rarely fail us. Just like the body’s heart, feet are steady soldiers who help us walk thousands of steps each day. When feet tire, they protest silently, often by swelling or aching. When they are ready to boycott walking, they burn, throb, and blister.

Treat your feet kindly. If you are a runner, suit up with Feetures performance socks. Feetures! performance socks are designed to enhance the experience of both casual and elite athletes alike, across a wide spectrum of recreational activities—including, running, walking, hiking, cycling and cross-training.

If you wear heeled shoes, give your feed a break by wearing flats. After a long day, reward your feet with a quick soak in warm water. Sweeten the reward and add lemon or lime slices to the water. Red, rough, and rugged feet will find comfort in the citrus water. The citrus will also soften your soles and take away unsightly odors.

Go ahead, pamper your feet. Your entire body will thank you.

  1. My wife stands on her feet all day. In an attempt to please her, I often purchase a gift card to her favorite pedicure parlor. It not only makes her feel better, it brings pleasure to me just knowing that she has something to look forward to.

Everyone should take care of their feet!

  2. I love the idea that George purchases gift cards for his wife! Most men don’t even know where their wife goes to get her pedicure. I have always taken out the time to take care of my feet and toenails.

During the winter months I rarely wear polish, but I still keep my toenails in shape. Our nails should have some breathing time from the harsh polishes that we so often put on them. Massaging the bottom of your feet is an extra bonus!

  3. I always felt the feet did not get respect. I take good care of my feet. Sometimes when I’m tired my feet hurt so i rub them down in alcohol. It make them feel better and I rest them. I want thme to last me forever.

  4. Nice idea George! I think that would probably earn us guys a few brownie points!
