Mama talks with Aunt B

I was having a cup of tea and a bite of toast when I got the phone call from Mama. After our usual niceties, because we were raised right, Mama got right to the point. She wanted to know if her Aunt B would share some of the juicier bits of her life with you all. She’s a busy woman, gathering health information and testing products for you all. Mama asked me because she knows that I’m young enough to remember and old enough to know better. She also knows that even though I’m known to have an opinion or two, I’m a firm believer that a mind works better when its open, which means there is no question or predicament that shocks me, which comes in handy here on the west coast where I live.

Mama’s been watching her Aunt B balance work and parenting while trying to make the best choices so that my Tween-let and I stay healthy. Yes, Aunt B was married and now I am the single mom of one. Mama and I have great conversations and would like for you to be in on them too. We talk about what it’s like to be a single mom, parenting the Tween-let, how to live on a budget, what it takes to just stay balanced, especially as we experience so much change in this country.
